A VLBB arm guard keeps the string off the forearm and off loose sleeves, in three versions. The classic guard is a single piece of leather for everyday protection, one-size adjustable, and also available in a narrow cut. The parchment inlay version sets a parchment-style panel over a rigid hardwood insert, so the string slides off a hard, smooth surface instead of catching on leather. The bodkin arrow pattern version carries a bodkin arrowhead motif on the panel, otherwise the same one-size adjustable build with a narrow variant. All three close with straps, so they fit over a bare arm or a sleeve.
