Three belts, one width

Riveted Leather Belt
single layer, 4 to 5 mm
Rivets only, no stitching, so there is no thread colour to choose. One layer, 4 to 5 mm thick.
53 EUR

Stitched & Riveted Leather Belt
single layer, 4 to 5 mm
Stitched and riveted, one layer, 4 to 5 mm thick. You choose the thread colour.
64 EUR

Double-Layer Leather Belt
two layers, about 7 mm
Two layers sewn together, full grain on the outside and on the inside. About 7 mm thick and stiff, gun-belt style, built to carry a heavy rig. This is the one archers choose, and some buyers wear it as a real gun belt. If you want it for dressier wear, with a suit for example, I make it on request in a thinner, finer version, still full grain on both sides.
95 EUR
Glue alone does not hold two layers, so the double-layer belt is always stitched and the riveted one is always single.
Leather, buckle, thread
The leather is vegetable-tanned cowhide, cut from the croupon, the part of the hide along the back. Brown, saddle tan and black are standard; natural, red, blue, green, yellow and mahogany cost 15 per cent more.
The buckle is solid brass with brass rivets, or solid stainless steel with stainless rivets, same price. The buckle is fixed at three points, whereas most belts made elsewhere hold it at one or two. If you want to use the belt with buckles of your own too, write to me when you order: then I fit a Chicago screw in place of the rivet, so you can change the buckle yourself. I only do this on request; otherwise the buckle is riveted.
The two stitched belts are sewn with lubricated braid, a braided thread impregnated with wax by machine, in nine colours at no extra charge.
Measure your body, not your old belt
Measure round your body where you wear the belt, at the waist or on the hips, and enter that number in centimetres. I add the extra length: 20 cm over light clothing, 25 cm if you sometimes wear it over a jacket or winter coat. The 20 cm version has 5 holes, the 25 cm version 7. If the finished belt comes out over 135 cm, a 15 EUR surcharge applies, and the order form shows it when it does. That is because a belt this long does not fit on a standard cowhide croupon: it needs what tanners call a back, a long strip that runs along the spine and on into the neck, and can be over two metres long.
If you cannot measure yourself, write to me with the length of a belt you wear now.
What buyers say
“The belt has really good quality and the recommendation for size was perfect for my fit. Would definitely buy again!”
Michael, riveted belt
If you shoot: the same belt carries your gear
Every quiver, pouch and hook I make fits a 4 cm belt. The field quiver does not come with a belt; starting from nothing, the field set puts a size M field quiver, a riveted belt and a bottle holder in one order. The other quivers are on the quivers page.
“They are beautiful and built with high precision, have a perfect fit with the riveted belts and can fit up to 12 arrows.”
Michael, field quiver M
Questions before ordering
Which one should I choose?
The riveted belt is complete on its own: a durable belt for many years of use. The stitching adds no function; choose the stitched one if you want a more decorative belt, in a thread colour of your own. The double-layer belt is finished on both faces, with the grain side out on each, so it looks more elegant. It is about 7 mm thick, very durable and stiffer.
How long will I wait?
Every belt is made after you order it, so it is not for you if you need it this week. I do not give a fixed date I might not keep; if yours runs long, you hear it from me.
How much does shipping cost?
A belt travels as a small parcel: 20 EUR outside Hungary, 6.50 EUR within it. If other pieces go in the same parcel, it may need a bigger box, which costs 37 EUR outside Hungary. The exact amount appears at checkout.
Can I send it back?
Yes, within 14 calendar days of receiving it, no reason needed. Return postage is on you. I refund the full amount, including the original shipping fee. Parcels sent cash on delivery cannot be accepted. If you send it back from outside the EU (for example from the UK), mark the parcel as returned goods on the customs form. Only then can I accept it, otherwise I would have to pay import duty and VAT on my own product.
Tell me the measurement, the belt and the colours
Measure round your body where you wear the belt, choose the belt, then fill in the order form: the measurement, how you wear it, leather colour, buckle, thread. I take it from there.
53 to 95 EUR depending on the belt, made after you order it, 14 days to change your mind.
